Minh has volunteered for QARI for one and half years. By volunteering at QARI, he hopes to have Asian Americans be more active and involved in their community. This year, Minh is a senior at North Quincy High School. On his free time, Minh likes to listen to music and watch movies. Occasionally he likes to invest time in trying to make movies of his own. In school, Minh spends his time coordinating the North Quincy High School Asian Culture Club and North Quincy’s Junior R.O.T.C. His favorite quote is “Alcohol and Calculus don’t mix. Never drink and derive. Know your limits.”

Tammy had volunteered at QARI for about 4 years now and hope to give back to the community in every way she can. She is currently a senior at North Quincy High School and is part of the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, Thomas Jefferson Forum, Caring Hearts, Asian Culture Club, and the National Honor Society. In her free time, she often watch Asian dramas or listen to music and dance. One of her favorite quotes is “Intelligence is nothing but an effort.”
Kim has been a trustful volunteer at QARI for about four years while attending North Quincy High School. She is currently a senior and hopes to continue to gain leadership and communication skills as she encourages asian americans and immigrants to become involved in the community. Outside of her volunteer career, Kim loves to make her friends laugh and be around them. She also loves to play the piano and make people smile during her spare time. Kim is also involved in Thomas Jefferson Forum and is working part-time.”Blurp”
Juliana has dedicated four years of volunteering to QARI. By volunteering at QARI, her gradual increase of knowledge in the Asian community helped her discover ways in which she can take part in improving it. Juliana hopes to motivate and inspire Asians to get involved in their communities. Juliana is currently a senior at North Quincy High School and in the future, she wants to become a business major. She’s also involved in the Thomas Jefferson Forum, the AFJROTC, and the Kitty Hawk Honor Soceity. My favorite quote is: “A photo is worth a thousand words, but photoshop can produce a thousand lies.”

Cindy has volunteered at QARI for over four years. By being a volunteer, she believes she is able to have a direct impact on her community in hopes to promote youth initiative. Cindy is currently a senior at North Quincy High. She is part of the QNQ Swim Team and the Museum of Fine Arts Docents program. Cindy loves creating memories with her friends and smiling. One of her favorite quotes is by John Green, “What is the point of being alive if you don’t at least try to do something remarkable?”

Fanny has volunteered for QARI ever since her freshman year, which makes this her fourth year here. By volunteering at QARI, she hopes to get the message out that Asians can make a big difference in their community as long as they get involved. The hardest part is getting involved and she hopes to get much Asians involved in their community as possible. This year, Fanny is a senior at Quincy High School. In the future, Fanny wants to study to become a bio-researcher that can make a change in the world. Science is one of her biggest passions and it is her favorite subject in school. Fanny spends most of her time during warm and sunny, and not so sunny, days at the tennis courts trying to improve on her ground strokes and serves. Her favorite quote is ”Live for the nights you don’t remember with the people you will never forget”.
Melody began to get involved in QARI since the summer of 2010. By volunteering at QARI, she hopes to make a positive impact on our community and excite more people about community service. This Year, Melody is a senior at Quincy High School. In her free time, she loves to listen to music and go shopping. She wants to be a teacher and church pianist in the future. Her favorite quote is “Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.”

Yufeng Wang had been volunteering at QARI for an approximate duration of two years now. By volunteering, Yufeng wish to give back to the community and to encourage young volunteers to get involved. Yufeng is currently attending North Quincy High School as a senior. When he has free time to spare, Yufeng likes to dance and enjoy music. In school, Yufeng takes pleasure in his mathematics and science classes, both of which inspires and broadens his mind. Lastly, Yufeng will like to share with future volunteers a favorite quote of his that he learned from Confucius: “Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in getting up every time we do.”
